What We Support

Connecting Beyond Funding.

Our foundation strives to be engaged in our local communities beyond grant funding. We support select programs that align with our goals and form a connection through potential volunteering opportunities, site visits, and recognition of successes.

We welcome grant applications for financial support in the following categories:

Education

Enriching students' lives through academics, educational activities, tutoring, scholarships, and financial support.

Social Services

Safeguarding children, supporting families, enhancing community safety, and guiding youth towards productive adulthood.

Community Outreach

Bringing professional help to under-resourced families and addressing local community challenges.

Providing mentorship support for academic success and life skills, extending to sports and recreational activities.

Mental Health & Counseling

Enhancing life for those with challenges, supporting students through mental health and development from childhood to college.

Grant Proposal Process

Our Evaluation Process and Priorities.

We consider every submission, so please ensure that your organization meets the objectives and goals of the May Family Foundation before filling out a grant proposal application. To receive grant approval, programs must meet the criteria provided on our website.
Check grant proposal qualification and requirements.
To be eligible for a grant, organizations must reside and projects must take place within the county borders of our geographic focus areas. See if your organization qualifies for consideration based on the evaluation criteria provided on our website. If not eligible, please do not submit.
Complete and submit grant proposal application.
Fill out the grant proposal application form on our website and submit for our review. We will only accept your application request once per year.
Grant proposal application process and review period.
Each grant application is carefully reviewed by our board. While we review the applications monthly, our annual board meeting is used to finalize the list of approved grants. Our board meeting date is scheduled each year between July 1 and August 31. We recommend submitting your request no later than June 30.
Approvals and next steps.
Our Foundation will contact you via email on that status of your proposal. We do not accept unsolicited proposals or repeat requests in the same year. Successful grant recipients are required to provide an annual written summary of the grant's impact.
